    President & Owner

    J. Michael Payne offers 35 plus years of experience in business strategy and executive coaching. Before his consulting career, Mike held executive human resource business partner and executive coaching positions for ExxonMobil, Occidental Chemical, and several companies owned by private equity companies. Michael has expertise in executive coaching, career transition consulting, and diversity equity and inclusion strategies. His experience also includes international human resources and diversity management experience for companies in Europe and Latin America. While at Exxon, he received the President's Award for involvement with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

    Michael attended Ohio State and Cleveland State University and received his degree in Industrial Psychology from Cleveland State. In 2017, Mike was made an honorary alumnus of the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, The College of William & Mary for his contributions to the education of citizen lawyers. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Michael also received the Diversity and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University.

    Mike has successfully passed and met all requirements for the Level 2 Professional Coaching Diploma from Optimus Coach Academy.
